Board of Directors

The homeowner's association for Fontana, FOAI, is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board consists of seven homeowners elected at the Association's annual meeting. Each homeowner is a voting member of the Association, and is entitled to one vote per lot. The developer, Tony Nichols, is also a member. Once elected, the Board appoints a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.

Regular Meetings

The Board of Directors meets on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the clubhouse. All homeowners are welcome to attend the Board meetings.

Duties of the Board

One of the main purposes of the Board is to manage common areas and resources, and collect dues to pay expenses. Dues are currently $150.00 per quarter. They pay for expenses such as maintenance, landscaping and improvement of common areas and recreation facilities, insurance policies and legal, accounting and postage fees for the Association, and social activities for homeowners. The Association also maintains a reserve fund for unexpected expenses.

Another function of the Board is to enforce the rules and restrictions of the Association. These are included in the "disclosure packet" that is given to all homeowners when they purchase a home in Fontana.
